Get a waffle iron and use a belgium waffle batter. then you can let the students make their own and turn it into a fun activity. You can always add fun flavorings likevanilla and chocolate or almond ar any other kind of nut or maybe even chocolate chips.
Cheapest would be a homemade recipe. There are thousands out there, go to a recipe sight and pick one out.
