We use a Delongi Waffle iron and the following receipe. The waffles are less crisp if we are too impatient with allowing it to heat between eat one or if we oil it too much. You'll get the balance right with practice. The also work if you forget the butter! We find some days the batter is better (!) when we add a drop less milk or a touch more flour....just remember how you altered it when you get the perfect waffle.

We use the 2 egg mix for two children. It makes 4 full size waffles in our waffle iron. So work out what appetites/people you serving it do and do the math.

4oz SR Flour

Pinch of salt

2 tablespn caster sugar

2 egg yolks

41/2 floz milk

1oz melted butter

1/2tsp vanilla extract/essence

2 egg whites.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, in a jug measure the milk, add the egg yolks, melted butter and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.

Whip until stiff the egg whites and then fold into the batter.

Heat up the iron and cook .... eat with butter and syrups or whatever takes your fancy.

(We add pink food colouring for our girls...bit of fun)
i would like to know the same, thanks x
I dont have conversion charts or anything like that, but I use pancake recipes or mixes only I make it slightly thicker with more flour or less water/milk/butter.
Try this web site. Choose one of the recipes I have listed for you, then click the ';Metric'; button and ';Change';.
