Your favorite waffle recipe?

I love waffles and im looking for a great waffle recipeYour favorite waffle recipe?
Chocolate Waffle:





Ingredients


7 ounces all-purpose flour, approximately 1 1/2 cups


1 3/4 ounces sugar, approximately 3 tablespoons


1.5 ounces cocoa powder, approximately 1/2 cup


1 teaspoon baking powder


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


3 whole eggs, beaten


2 ounces unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled


1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


16 ounces buttermilk, room temperature


4 ounces chocolate chips, approximately 3/4 cup


Vegetable spray, for waffle iron





Directions


Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.





In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. In another bowl beat together the eggs and melted butter and vanilla, and then add the buttermilk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir in the chocolate chips just until combined. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.





Ladle the recommended amount of waffle batter onto the center of the iron. Close the iron top and cook until the waffle is crispy on both sides and is easily removed from iron. Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200 degree F oven until ready to serve.Your favorite waffle recipe?
How about Banana Cinnamon?





1 and 3/4 cups flour


3/4 cup mashed-up banana


2 egg whites -- whipped up


1 and 1/2 cups skim milk


1/2 cup applesauce (skip cinnamon if using cinnamon applesauce)


1 teaspoon cinnamon


1 teaspoon baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt


Heat up your waffle iron and give it a thin coat of cooking spray.





Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, stir up the egg whites, milk, banana, and applesauce. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until just moistened.





Pour enough batter to fill two-thirds of the waffle iron. Cook until crisp and golden brown. Set aside. Repeat with remaining batter.





We love banana around here and this is one of favorite ways to use them!
Sour dough pancakes and waffles....can't be beat





Sourdough Pancakes


These lighter-than-air pancakes were the mainstay of the Forty-Niners' diet.


1 cup all-purpose flour, unsifted


2 tablespoons granulated sugar


1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


1 egg, beaten


1 cup Sourdough Starter


1/2 cup milk


2 tablespoons vegetable oil


In a bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Combine egg, Sourdough Starter, milk and oil. Stir into the flour mixture until well combined. Using 2 tablespoonsful of batter for each pancake, bake on a hot, lightly greased griddle until golden brown, turning once.
