Waffle recipes?

Homemade Pecan Waffles





3 eggs, separated


1 1/2 cups milk


4 tablespoons butter, melted


1 teaspoon vanilla


1 3/4 cups flour


2 teaspoons baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt


1 tablespoon sugar


1/2 cup chopped pecans





Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.


Combine egg yolks, milk, melted butter and vanilla.


Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and stir into batter.


Fold in beaten egg whites.


Fold in pecans.


Bake on waffle iron according to manufacturers directions.


Be sure waffles are completely browned before removing them.Waffle recipes?
Cinnamon Apple Waffles





Ingredients:


16 ounces plain yogurt


2 eggs, beaten


1/4 cup cinnamon flavored apple juice or apple cider


1 tablespoon baking soda


1 teaspoon baking powder


2 cups flour





Combine yogurt, eggs, and apple juice. Mix well.


Slowly add all dry ingredients and mix until well blended.


Cook waffles as directed by the manufacturer of your waffle iron.

Honey Waffles





2 c. sifted flour


3/4 tsp. salt


2 eggs


3 tsp. baking powder


6 tbsp. melted butter


2 tbsp. honey


1 tsp. cinnamon


1-1/4 c. milk





Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add the melted butter to beaten egg yolks, and add milk and honey. Pour into dry ingredients and mix quickly just enough to moisten. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and bake on a hot waffle iron.
For something a little different... french toast waffles.





Just soak your bread (crust off) in egg, milk, a bit of vanilla and cinnamon... like you would for french toast.





Then cook in your waffle iron. When it's done, pour maple syrup on it and... yum. =)
I have a wonderful recipe that I use for waffles. It's the basic waffle recipe in the Joy or Cooking (look it up online?) It's easy as can be and tastes terrific too. I do add about a teaspoon of vanilla to the basic recipe though.

French Waffles Recipe

Ingredients for French Waffles





* 3 cups flour


* 录 teaspoon salt


* 1 cup butter


* 1 cup sugar


* 7 eggs


* 1 tablespoon brandy


* Grated peel of陆 lemon


* 1 yeast cake


* 2 cups milk





Instructions





1. Cream the butter, add the sugar, add singly the yolks of eggs and grated lemon peel.


2. Add flour and milk alternately, beating until it is full of bubbles.


3. Add the dissolved yeast cake and the stiff whites of eggs.


4. Let it rise three hours and bake as ordinary waffles.

1. Basic





3/4 cup all-purpose flour


1/4 cup cornstarch


1/2 teaspoon baking powder


1/4 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 cup whole milk or buttermilk


1/3 cup vegetable oil


1 egg


1 1/2 teaspoons sugar


3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


butter, for serving


syrup, for serving





In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well.


Add the milk, vegetable oil, egg, sugar and vanilla and mix well.


Let the batter sit for 30 minutes.


Preheat a waffle iron.


Do not use non-stick spray on the waffle iron; the oil in the batter will allow the waffle to release easily.


Follow the directions on your waffle iron to cook the waffles.


Serve immediately with butter and syrup.








2. Waffle Ice Cream Sammy's !!!





2 toasted hot waffles or chocolate chip waffles


1 cup ice cream (cut to same size of waffle)


Your pick of Garnish


1-2 tablespoon decorative candies (optional)


1-2 tablespoon crushed nuts (optional)


1-2 tablespoon toasted coconut (optional)


1-2 tablespoon granola cereal (optional)


1-2 tablespoon pralines (optional)


peanut butter spread on before ice cream (optional)





If using peanut butter,fluff or preserves spread a thin layer on one waffle.


Place the ice cream inside the waffles.


Then roll the optional garnishes along sides of the ice cream. And enjoy!

I have the best! No actual measurements though.





Measure out and prepare the waffle mix as directed on the box. Now add vanilla extract, a little bit of almond extract, maple syrup and some sugar (I like a lot).





They'll taste just like Waffle House waffles but better!
