Fair waffles recipes?

The yeast in these waffles makes for exceptionally deep pockets, perfect for capturing melted butter, berries and syrups.

INGREDIENTS:

1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

1/4 cup warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

3 egg yolks

2 3/4 cups warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled to lukewarm

1/2 cup white sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 cups all-purpose flour

3 egg whites

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm milk. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, 1/4 cup of the warm milk and the melted butter. Stir in the yeast mixture, sugar, salt and vanilla. Stir in the remaining 2 1/2 cups milk alternately with the flour, ending with the flour. Beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks; fold into the batter. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.

3. Preheat the waffle iron. Brush with oil and spoon about 1/2 cup (or as recommended by manufacturer) onto center of iron. Close the lid and bake until it stops steaming and the waffle is golden brown. Serve immediately with fruit or confectioner's sugar or keep warm in 200 degree oven.

Have a ';sweet'; waffle recipe?

I'm looking for a sweet and flavorful waffle recipe, similar in taste to an ice cream waffle cone. Everything else I've tried (mixes or scratch-made) is so bland on its own without syrup. I've tried just adding sugar to my mixes or recipe, but just haven't come up with someone I really like. Got any good recipes to share?Have a ';sweet'; waffle recipe?

I love to add chocolate chips.

I also add some apple out of the can that has been drained and some cinnamon.

I also like to mash bananas and mix in the mix like you would for banana bread.

Another one is to whisk in some pumpkin pie filling into the mix. This is definitely good with chocolate chips.

I have also added cocoa powder, a little more sugar and white chocolate chips. What are some good recipes for waffles? w/ fruit...?
Just buy the box mix, thats more than fine, but it has to be either the buttermilk mix or something else rich in taste. I like to add peaches to my waffles, peel the skin off and cut the slices into tiny, managable bits, then stirr them into the batter and cook. Believe it or not peaches taste a lot better when they're warm.
I like to mix fruit on waffles. Strawberries, blueberries, melon slices, raspberries, and top the whole thing with honey, yum.
Strawberries, bananas, peaches, pineapple and coconut, apples, mixed berries..

Hi! I have just been looking for a hotdog waffle machine in Singapore. Where did you buy it from? You have to do one half of the waffle first, when cooked, take it out, fill it up half way again with batter, and then cook. It doesn't actually rise to cover the entire hotdog at once.
Oh, I love hotdog waffle and also cheese waffle.

Mix the milk, flour and sugar together. Beat until smooth. Heat a large non-stick skillet and melt a small amount of butter with it. Pour enough of the pancake batter onto the skillet to cover the whole pan in a thin layer. Once the edges start drying, it's time to flip. Use a large spatula for this. It doesn't take much time on the second side. Continue baking the rest of the pancakes like this.

The best Belgian Waffle recipe I've ever had. This recipe simply mixes 1 part Bisquick %26amp; 1 part Krusteaz Waffle mix together with a couple added ingredients.

1 cup original Bisquick baking mix

1 1/4 cups waffle batter (Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix)

1 1/2 cups milk (use a little more if desired)

    2 1/2 tablespoons oil

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute (or other sweetner)

Preheat your waffle maker. Mix ingredients together in a bowl with a utensil (fork or wisk works well). Use 3 packets of Splenda, rather than 2, if you'd like sweeter waffles.

Cook waffles about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Follow your waffle iron instructions for best results.

1/4 cup rice flour or rice starch

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    1/3 cup sugar

3/4 cup canned coconut milk, plus a little more if needed

    1 large egg yolk

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

1/2 cup tiniest dried shrimp (see Note)

Peanut oil or vegetable oil for frying

    20 to 30 coriander leaves

    FOR THE DIPPING SAUCE

    2 tablespoons Thai fish sauce

    2 tablespoons rice vinegar

    1 tablespoon water

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 small garlic clove, minced

1 bird or Serrano Chile, minced (less for less heat) (optional)

    MAKE THE WAFFLES

    1. Place the flours and sugar in a medium bowl and stir in the coconut milk and egg yolk. Stir in the lime juice and beat to a smooth batter. Let stand for at least 20 minutes, or as long as 2 hours. (If leaving more than 30 minutes, cover and refrigerate until 10 minutes before using.)

    2. Just before you wish to start cooking, stir the dried shrimp into the batter. The batter should be like cr锚pe batter, smooth and pourable. If necessary, thin it with a little coconut milk.

    (Skillet Method)

    3. Place a heavy 8-inch or 9-inch skillet over high heat. When it is hot, lower the heat to medium-high and rub a paper towel oiled with peanut or vegetable oil over the cooking surface.

    4. Use a ladle or cup to scoop up a scant 3 tablespoons batter and drop a coriander leaf or two into it. Remove the skillet from the heat, pour the batter onto the center of the skillet, and spread it out with the back of your ladle or a spatula. Place the skillet back on the heat and let cook for 1 minute, or until lightly browned on the first side, then turn the cr锚pe over and cook for 35 to 40 seconds on the second side, or until dotted with light brown spots. Turn out onto a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, wiping the skillet with an oiled paper towel between each one.

    (Alternately, Waffle Iron Method)

    3. Preheat the waffle iron. Brush it with oil.

    4. Use a ladle to pour the batter onto the center of the iron. Use the same amount of batter as you would for a regular waffle. Before you close the waffle iron, the batter should just cover about half the surface; when you close the iron, the batter will be pushed out to fill the whole iron. (The amount of batter you need to use for each waffle will vary with the size and style of waffle iron, so you may need to make one or two before you get amounts exactly right.) Cook until lightly browned on both sides. Turn out onto a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, brushing the iron lightly with oil between waffles.

    MAKE THE DIPPING SAUCE

    1. Mix all the ingredients together. Set out in a small bowl with a spoon to use for drizzling the sauce on.

    TO SERVE

Serve hot or warm, on their own or with a plate of lettuce leaves and an easy hot, sour, salty, sweet dipping sauce such as the one here. Or you could put out a spicy Mexican-style salsa instead. Invite guests to tear off a piece of cr锚pe, wrap it in a lettuce leaf, and drizzle it with sauce or salsa before eating.

NOTE: Use very small dried shrimp that look like feathery shreds and are a dark, rich color. A wide assortment of dried shrimp is available in Chinese and Southeast Asian groceries. If you can find only larger dried shrimp, mince them before using.

    Classic Belgian Waffles

    2 cups cake flour

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    4 large eggs, separated

    2 tablespoons sugar

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

    2 cups milk

    non-stick cooking spray

Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. In 1 medium bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a second bowl use the wooden spoon to beat together the egg yolks and sugar until sugar is completely dissolved and eggs have turned a pale yellow. Add the vanilla extract, melted butter, and milk to the eggs and whisk to combine. Combine the egg-milk mixture with the flour mixture and whisk just until blended. Do not over mix. In third bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 1 minute. Using the rubber spatula, gently fold the egg whites into the waffle batter. Do not overmix! Coat the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray and pour enough batter in iron to just cover waffle grid. Close and cook as per manufacturer's instructions until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes. Serve immediately.

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1/4 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk or buttermilk

    Butter and syrup, for serving

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Add the milk, vegetable oil, egg, sugar and vanilla and mix well. Let the batter sit for 30 minutes.

Preheat a waffle iron. Do not use non-stick spray on the waffle iron; the oil in the batter will allow the waffle to release easily. Follow the directions on your waffle iron to cook the waffles. Serve immediately with butter and syrup.

    1 stalk celery

    1 medium carrot

    1 small onion, peeled

    1 bay leaf

2 (18 1/8 ounce) cans low sodium chicken broth

Add chicken and keep warm over very low heat.

While cooking, make waffles according to recipe and waffle iron instructions.

If necessary, place in a 200掳 oven to keep warm. Serve waffles with chicken and gravy.

Fry some eggs and bacon, and use two waffles as bread in a delicious breakfast sandwich.
u can have it with some cut up fresh fruit.
Ooh make a turkey sandwich out of the toasted waffle.. it's yummy!!!
you can take cooked chicken and canned gravy, mix them together and heat through. Pour that on the toasted waffle for a ';main dish'; .. It is pretty good.
    ice cream and waffles yummy.................
slitely toast them then let cool. then use your best frenchtoast resipe
it might sound gross, but one of my guilty pleasures is waffles and fluff :) anyways, a good recipe for a frozen waffle is to use it like bread when making a breakfast sandwich. just scramble up some eggs, add two strips of bacon, and a slice of american cheese. it's delicious!
Well someone else had my answer but I like fruit especially strawberries but I use strawberry syrup too. Then I cover it after toasted the waffle with whipped cream. I like Redi-Whip. You might try jam too. Really.......whatever you like.

What is the recipe for the Cold Stone Waffle Cone?

I just got a waffle maker and i just wanted to know a good recipe? Ones that people have tried. What is the recipe for the Cold Stone Waffle Cone?
    Gourmet Waffle Cones

This is our basic recipe for a rich buttery waffle cone.

    1 whole egg

    1 egg white

    1/4 tsp. salt

    1/2 cup granulated sugar

    2/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour

2 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled slightly

Preheat the WaffleCone Express鈩? Start with Color Control setting of 2 1/2 to 3, but change as necessary for best results.

Beat the egg, egg white and salt in a small bowl with a fork until well blended. Beat in the sugar and beat until sugar is incorporated and the egg has lightened in color slightly, about 1 minute. Add flour and beat another 15 seconds or until incorporated and all lumps are gone. Add the melted butter and stir until well blended.

Spoon 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) of batter in the center of the iron. Bake for 1 minute then check for proper color. Cook an additional 5 to 10 seconds if necessary.

Quickly remove the waffle from the WaffleCone Express鈩?onto a clean cloth towel. If the waffle is too hot to handle with your bare hands, use the cloth to help lift and roll the waffle around the cone form. Hold the cone a few seconds to set its shape then place on a wire rack to cool.

    Elegant Wafer Cones

A bit lighter than our gourmet cones, this batter makes a delicate wafer cone. Cake flour ensures the best results. If you use all-purpose flour, you may need to add a small amount of additional oil to the recipe.

    2 whole eggs

    1/4 tsp. salt

    2/3 cup granulated sugar

    2 tbsp.vegetable oil

    1 cup cake flour

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat the WaffleCone Express鈩? Start with Color Control setting of 2 1/2 to 3, but change as necessary for best results.

Beat the eggs and salt in a small bowl with a fork until well blended. Beat in the sugar and beat until sugar is incorporated and the eggs have lightened in color slightly, about 1 minute. Stir in the oil. Add the cake flour and stir slowly until all flour is moistened. Beat another 15 seconds to incorporate the flour and remove all lumps. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Spoon 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) of batter in the center of the iron. Bake for 1 minute then check for proper color. Cook and additional 5 to 10 seconds if necessary.

Here's a simple recipe for a chocolate waffle cone:

For chocolate waffle cone recipe you will need:

    1 complete egg

    1 egg white

    1/2 cup granulated sugar

    2 tablespoons of butter (warm)

    chocolate

    cocoa

2/3 cup of all purpose flour and

    1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Take the egg white, egg and the salt and put them in a bowl. Beat them until the mix is properly blended. Then get sweet and add some sugar to this mixture. Stir until you notice the egg getting light in color (this will take like a minute or so).

Take the chocolate (don't eat it) and melt it together with the butter while mixing. When everything is melted and nice and smooth, mix the chocolate into the bowl. Now take the cocoa and also thow it in the bowl together with the flour. Now you have to mix everithing really well so there are no lumps left (lumps bad, no lumps good).

Bake it for like 60 to 90 seconds with your waffle maker.

    Here's some yummy toppings:

    1. Chocolate ice-cream with rainbow sprinkles

    2. Vanilla-Chocalate-Strawberry Ice-cream

Hope that will sooth your tummy!

    Waffle Cones

    Show: Sweet Dreams

    Episode: Mall Classics

    Waffle Cones

I used to have to makes hundreds of these a week at a restaurant called Melange where I was the pastry chef in 1987. We actually served them differently. Dave Jarvis, the chef, had us sauce the plate with caramel or raspberry sauce, place a large scoop of ice cream on the plate and then place the cone, open end down, on the ice cream, like a pointed hat sticking up. It looked very dramatic traveling through the dining room.

    1 cup heavy cream

    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Pinch ground nutmeg

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    Oil, for the iron

Special equipment: Waffle cone iron; wooden cone-form

In a bowl with a whisk, whip the cream with the vanilla until mousse-like (it won't form peaks.) Sift the remaining ingredients together and stir them into the cream to make a batter. Let the batter sit for 30 minutes.

Heat up waffle cone iron and brush with a little oil. Pour some batter in and close the lid to bake and brown. Open the iron and remove the browned batter and fold over itself, overlapping it, on a wooden cone-form into a cone. Let cool then top with a scoop of ice cream.Do you know or have the recipe of Waffle cones for the ice cream?
This recipe makes 20 cones :]

    INGREDIENTS (about 20 cones)

    3 eggs

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    1/2 cup butter, melted

    2 tsp vanilla

    1 1/2 cups

    flour

    2 tsp baking powder

    PROCEDURE

    (1) Beat the eggs and gradually beat in the sugar

    until the mixture is creamy.

    (2) Stir in the melted butter and vanilla.

    (3) Combine the flour and baking powder, and then add

it to the mixture. Blend it in well.

    (4) Drop about 4 tsp of the batter into a heated

pizelle iron, and cook both sides over medium-high

heat for about 1 minute each, or until golden

    brown.

    (5) Remove the waffle from the pizelle iron and

immediately shape it into a cone while it is still

    pliable.

    NOTES

A pizelle iron looks like a round waffle iron. There are

';manual'; irons, and electric ones too. If you don't have a

pizelle iron, another idea is to use an ordinary waffle iron

and have ice-cream on top of the waffle. Not having either

a waffle iron or a pizelle iron, we tried making these on an

electric griddle, but since the batter is fairly thick it

wouldn't spread into a large enough circle to make cones

    from.

When you form the cones, there will probably be a small hole

in the bottom of them that ice-cream can drip out of. One

idea for plugging this hole is to put miniature marshmallows

in the bottoms of the cones.

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C). Preheat your waffle iron.

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine the milk, buttermilk and oil in a measuring cup. Whisk in the egg yolk with a fork, and set aside. In a small bowl, beat egg white with an electric mixer until almost soft peaks. Gradually sprinkle in the sugar, while continuing to whip until thick and glossy. Stir in vanilla.

Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients, and whisk just until blended. Fold in the egg white using a spatula.

Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron in the recommended amount for your iron. My waffle iron takes a generous 1/2 cup. Close the iron, and cook until golden brown. A good indication that it is getting close is that the steam will stop coming out of the iron.

Keep finished waffles in the warm oven directly on the rack. Do not stack, or they will become soggy.

    Banana Split Waffles

1/4 cup butter or margarine (melted)

    1 and 3/4 cup milk

    2 eggs (separated)

    1/4 cup sugar

    1 and 1/2 to 2 cups self-rising flour

    1 banana (mashed)

    1/2 cup pecans (chopped)

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Separate eggs.

Whip egg whites until stiff and put aside.

Mix butter, milk, egg yokes, sugar, vanilla and flour. (Add flour according to thickness desired.)

Fold in egg whites. Add mashed banana and pecans.

Pour into hot, greased (cooking spray) waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Garnish as desired.

Suggestions: sliced strawberries and whipped topping. Serve with hot syrup or sauces.
Just make a pancake (on the thin side) or crepe batter reserving the egg whites. When your batter is ready, whip the eggs whites to peak then fold them in your batter %26amp; then cook right away until golden brown. When they are cooked, let them cool on a cooling rack so they'll stay a little ';crunchy'; on the outside.

I do not know exactly how much of each ingredients I use because I do not measure mine but you can use any recipe you already have.

    Need Waffle recipe for 200+?

I have been put in charge of getting a recipe for waffles to feed 200+ people at a fund raiser breakfast. Can you help this poor lad?Need Waffle recipe for 200+?
';Tone'; is right, you need to take a simple waffle recipe and calculate 200/# of servings to see how many batches to make. However I would make a test batch to check the quality of the recipe and to see if it actually makes that many servings (if it says 12 servings but only makes 10 and you multiply it then you will be drastically short!)

Here is a simple waffle recipe - makes 12 servings (need 17 batches for 200 people)

Good luck, sounds like a monster job.Need Waffle recipe for 200+?
Get your recipe, then see how many it feeds. multiply the receipe by amount needed to get the amount needed to feed that many. example, if receipe feeds 10, mulitply all ingredients by 20, then you will have.
Go to recipelink.com. They have full instructions using either packaged mix or doing it from scratch. Good luck!

  • Pumpkin Waffle Recipe?

Does anyone know a tasty pumpkin waffle recipe?Pumpkin Waffle Recipe?
    Belgian Pumpkin Pie Waffles

    5 tbsp. unsalted butter

1 cup pumpkin puree (you can use canned puree)

1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

    1/4 cup sugar

    1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 1/4 tsp. grated peeled fresh ginger

    1/8 tsp. ground cloves

    1/8 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

    Pinch of salt

    1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

    1 tbsp. double-acting baking powder

    1/2 tsp. baking soda

    1 cup milk

    1/2 cup sour cream

    2 eggs

2 tbsp. dark rum or 1 tsp. imitation rum extract

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

Vanilla ice cream and/or maple syrup for serving

    Instructions:

Preheat a waffle iron. If you want to hold the finished waffles until serving time, preheat an oven to 200°F (93°C).

    Melt the butter; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin, both sugars, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Using a rubber spatula or handheld electric mixer, mix together well. Stir in the flour, baking powder and baking soda. The mixture will be thick and a little lumpy. Don’t try to smooth it out; just mix until the ingredients are incorporated.

In another bowl, beat together the milk, sour cream, eggs, rum and vanilla. Add the liquid ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until combined. Fold in the melted butter.

Whether or not your iron’s grids are well seasoned or made of a nonstick material, it is best to lightly butter or spray the grids for these waffles because the batter is quite sticky. Brush or spray the grids again only if subsequent waffles stick.

Spoon out 2/3 to 3/4 cup of batter for a Belgian waffle iron (or the amount recommended by the manufacturer’s instructions) onto the hot iron. Use a metal spatula or wooden spoon to spread the batter evenly over the grids. Close the lid and bake until golden. If the waffle is hard to remove from the iron, peel it off gently and carefully. Serve immediately or keep the waffles, in a single layer, on a rack in the preheated oven while you make the rest.

Serving: Serve these warm and golden, one to a diner, topped with vanilla ice cream and/or maple syrup. They’re great with a cup of hot or cold cider.

i really like the gingerale recipe that came with my waffle maker. I'm sorry I can't find it to give it to you!Whatis your favorite waffle recipe from scratch, forget the boxes..........?
I can't find my recipe right now, but the thing that makes the biggest difference (and can be done to ANY recipe) is to separate the eggs. Blend the yolks into the batter, then beat the whites until they're stiff. Once the batter is completely mixed, add the whites and fold them in very gently. This will make the waffles very light and fluffy!
    RAISED WAFFLES

    1 pkg dry yeast

1/4 cup warm water (105-115 degrees)

1 3/4 cups lukewarm milk (scalded, then skimmed)

    2 T sugar

    1 tsp salt

    3 eggs

    1/4 cup butter, softened

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add a pinch of sugar. Leave 10 minutes to proof - yeast should show that it's active by creating a foam, and bubbling.

Add all ingredients to a large mixer bowl and beat with a rotary beater until smooth.

Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from draft for 1 1/2 hours. Stir down batter. Cover and refrigerator overnight.

Stir down batter. Pour onto center of a hot, seasoned waffle iron.

Bake each waffle about 5 minutes, or until steaming stops.

    hotdog waffle

You might want to try this one. Nice and crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. Which I would think would be nice cooked around a hot dog. Hope it helps

    2 cups flour

    1-1/2 tsp instant yeast

    1 stick melted butter

2 cups warm milk (heated to about 110 degrees)

    2 eggs

    2 tsp vanilla extract

    1 tbsp sugar

    1/2 tsp salt

    The night before:

Combine and whisk together the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Combine the melted butter and milk. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients. Whisk eggs and vanilla together in a separate small bowl. Add the egg-vanilla mixture to the other mixture, and whisk until well-combined. Cover with plastic wrap and stick in the fridge until tomorrow morning.

    The next morning:

Prepare waffle iron as usual. Stir the batter to deflate it (it should be puffy and frothy). Add to waffle iron the same way you would other batter, keeping in mind that this batter will rise more than batters that use baking powder instead of yeast.

    1 teaspoon salt

    9 eggs

    4 1/8 cups all-purpose flour

    DIRECTIONS

Preheat the waffle iron on medium setting.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Stir in the vanilla and salt. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Then stir in the flour.

Drop the batter by heaping soupspoonful onto the waffle grid. Close the cover and bake for about 3 minutes and 20 seconds. Every waffle iron is a little different so you may want to test it on the first couple of cookies. Place finished cookies onto a wire rack to cool.

    Hope I helped!

I went to Belgium and they had awesome waffles, I want a recipe so I can make them here in the States.

    my personal favourite...

    Classic Belgian Waffles:

    1 package active dry yeast

2 cups milk, lukewarm, about 115 degrees

    1 Tbs. sugar

4 eggs, separated, whites beaten to stiff peaks

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    2-1/2 cups all purpose flour

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved

Sprinkle yeast over warm milk in a large mixing bowl. Stir in sugar and set aside 5 minutes. Beat egg yolks and vanilla in a small bowl. Stir into yeast mixture. Sift flour and salt together in a bowl and stir into liquid ingredients. Stir in melted butter and mix thoroughly. Carefully fold in beaten egg whites. Cover loosely and set aside to let rise in a warm place about 45 minutes, until mixture doubles in volume.

Preheat waffle iron. When hot, lightly brush waffle iron surface with oil. Pour 3/4 cup batter per waffle onto hot iron. Close and bake 4-5 minutes or until iron stops steaming. Open cover and use fork to remove waffle. Continue with remaining batter. Serve immediately with strawberries and desired toppings or keep warm in 200掳F oven until ready to serve.
