How do i turn a pancake recipie into waffle recipe?

i have a recipe for pancakes that is this:

%26gt;2 cups of mix(mix is Aunt Jemima's buttermilk complete)

%26gt;1 1/2 cups water

the waffle recipe is the same, but 1/3 cup of oil is added

on the box, it says that i can add in the following for extra flavor

%26gt;1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

%26gt;2 tablespoons brown sugar

this is for the pancakes, but if i add this to the waffles, will i need to change the what im adding in because of the extra oil?How do i turn a pancake recipie into waffle recipe?
By cooking it in a waffel griddle, rather than a flat pan/griddle.

SO long as you dont add liquid, add what you like. Fruit pieces, bacon bits, etc...How do i turn a pancake recipie into waffle recipe?
No, only the batter is different. If you're adding cinnamon or brown sugar it won't make a difference if it's for pancakes or waffles.
The only thing you need is a waffle iron.

The batter is just a little thicker for waffles then pancakes.

Mix in pecans or walnuts with your batter for taste.
Nope, just follow the waffle recipe and add whatever. I prefer chocolate chips....yummy.
Add a waffle maker. Wallah! You've got waffles.
That mix is ok but not true waffle batter. the two are completely different recipes. Here is the waffle recipe I use from Alton Brown.

Episode: The Waffle Truth

4 3/4 ounces all-purpose flour, approximately 1 cup

4 3/4 ounces whole-wheat flour, approximately 1 cup

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons sugar

3 whole eggs, beaten

2 ounces unsalted butter, melted

16 ounces buttermilk, room temperature

Vegetable spray, for waffle iron

Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.

In a medium bowl whisk together the flours, soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl beat together eggs and melted butter, and then add the buttermilk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir until combined. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.

Ladle the recommended amount of waffle batter onto the iron according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Close iron top and cook until the waffle is golden on both sides and is easily removed from iron. Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200 degree F oven until ready to serve.
