Chocolate Pancakes

1 1/2 c. flour

1 T. sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 T. hot cocoa powder

2 T. melted butter

Thoroughly combine all of the dry ingredients (flour through cocoa powder). Thoroughly combine all of the wet ingredients (butter thought milk). Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix to combine. Do not over beat!

Heat a griddle; lightly oil the surface and wipe up the excess oil with a paper towel. Ladle the batter onto the griddle and cook the pancakes until they are bubbly on top and the edges are bubbly and no longer shiny. Flip the pancakes and cook them for another minute.

A serving suggestion: Top a stack of pancakes with thinly sliced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. If you want to go all out, grate a little nutmeg and dark chocolate over them before presenting them.

My favorite recipe was on the back of a box of bisquick. My mom would add apples or berries to hers and they were the best!Anyone have a real tasty pancake/waffle batter recipe??
Banana/walnut pancakes - mash up a couple bananas and mix into the dry ingredients, then add water for the desired constitency and then add chopped walnuts.

Apple/cinnamon pancakes - add applesauce to the dry ingredients and cinnamon and mix, and then add water for the desired constitency.

Blueberries can be added frozen, but stir gently into the batter.
GERMAN PANCAKES

6 eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

butter

Mix the milk, flour and sugar together. Beat until smooth. Heat a large non-stick skillet and melt a small amount of butter with it. Pour enough of the pancake batter onto the skillet to cover the whole pan in a thin layer. Once the edges start drying, it's time to flip. Use a large spatula for this. It doesn't take much time on the second side. Continue baking the rest of the pancakes like this.

The pancakes do not fluff up like typical American-style pancakes.

Top with your choice of applesauce, cinnamon sugar or syrup. After adding topping, fold pancakes in half with the topping on the inside and lightly sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top
take your standard waffle mix .......put some chopped pecans on grill while hot cover with mix add more pecans drop 2nd grill toast till done take out and eat
I don't have a recipe but Krusteauz- I don't know if that is spelled right. Has a wonderful blueberry pancake mix.
