Just plain recipe..Who can provide me with the best waffle recipe/method? I love them but don't know how to make them..Thanks
Waffles

Ingredients

1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1-3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup cooking oil or butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In a medium bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in center of flour mixture; set aside.

In another medium bowl beat eggs slightly; stir in milk, butter, and vanilla. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be slightly lumpy).

Pour 1 to 1 1/4 cups batter onto grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle baker (use a regular or Belgian waffle baker). Close lid quickly; do not open until done. Bake according to manufacturer's directions. When done, use a fork to lift waffle off grid. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm.

Makes 12 to 16 (4-inch) waffles

Buttermilk Waffles:Prepare as above, except reduce baking powder to 1 teaspoon and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Substitute 2 cups buttermilk or sour milk for the milk.

SOUR MILK: For every cup of sour milk, place 1 tablespoonful of lemon juice into a measuring cup and fill with milk to make 1 cup. Let sit 5 minutes.

If you live in the states, buy some Bisquick and follow the recipe on the box. THEN, when you pour the batter on the waffle maker, place half strips of raw bacon over it and put the lid down and let it cook. The heat will cook the bacon and the bacon grease will go throughout the waffle. This is delicious. Not healthy, but delicious.
Waffles amd Pancakes are easy. You will need flour, milk, eggs, sugar, butter or margarine and baking powder. A waffle iron or griddle/large flat skillet and some oil, butter or margarine.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 cup milk

2 egg, beaten

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)

DIRECTIONS

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In a separate bowl mix together the milk, eggs and melted butter and vanilla if desired until well blended. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and then pour in the wet ingredients; mix briefly until smooth. (ONLY FOR PANCAKES: Add a little more milk if you want a thinner batter.) Let batter sit for 5 minutes. WAFFLES: Preheat your waffle iron while making your batter. Spray or lightly oil before putting your batter into the waffle iron. PANCAKES: Meanwhile heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot with butter and syrup of your choice. (Our favorite is butter pecan!)

Serve with eggs, bacon and/or sausage if you want.
Waffles and pancakes are the same thing except you throw the pancake mix in a waffle iron and walla! Waffles! I know you said you wanted a plain recipe, but if you want a twist, throw in some cinnamin and sugar in the recipe or some fresh fruit.
The best way I love to make waffles is to get out the trusty box of cake mix. Mix it like the directions say, and then you can make waffles or even pancakes....They are really good and you don't even need syrup. Hope you can try it and enjoy. :o)
